Other Ways to Give

Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds, similar to a charitable savings account, are an easy, cost-effective way to support our mission. You can transfer assets to a tax-exempt sponsoring organization (i.e., the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation)  and then recommend how much and how often you would like granted to qualified charities such as the Center for Practical Bioethics.

Matching Gifts

If your company has a matching gift program, you may be able to double the value of your donation. Ask your HR department for a matching gift form and mail it to us along with your check. Over 150 companies in the KC metro area have matching gift programs! Many will also match the gifts of retirees, spouses or surviving spouses.

Endowment

The Center has two endowed chairs, each accepting contributions.
• Rosemary Flanigan Chair, currently held by Tarris Rosell, PhD, DMin, HEC-C
• John B. Francis Chair

Please contact us for more information.

Donate Stock

You can also make an impact by donating long-term appreciated securities, including stock, bonds, and mutual funds, directly to the Center. Compared with donating cash or selling your appreciated securities and contributing the after-tax proceeds, you may be able to automatically increase your gift and your tax deduction. For more information about donating stock, please visit Appreciated Stock Giving.

The Center for Practical Bioethics (CPB) is a tax-exempt 501c3 nonprofit organization. Contributions to CPB are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
