Mark R. Thompson has been an attorney and shareholder at Seigfreid Bingham, P.C. in Kansas City for over40 years, leading the firm’s Healthcare Industry Group for more than 15 years. Mark has served as counsel for hospitals, health care systems, and private practice physicians. He has been named among The Best Lawyers in America© since 2008 and received Lawyer of the Year in 2018 for Kansas City, Mo., in Healthcare Law. Active in healthcare law both locally and statewide, Mark has served as leadership for the Kansas Association of Hospital Attorneys, Missouri Society of Healthcare Attorneys, Greater Kansas City Society of Health Care Attorneys, and the Center for Practical Bioethics Lawyers Roundtable. Mark has transitioned to Senior Counsel status with Seigfreid Bingham, P.C.

Mark is a 1977 graduate of the University of Colorado and attended law school at the University of Kansas, earning his J.D. degree in 1980.
