Nurses and Treating Chronic Pain

Nurses play an important role in pain management. Two nurses — Ann Schreier and Pamela Bennett — discuss the research, advocacy and education work of the American Society of Pain Management Nursing to promote best nursing practices for people experiencing pain. Schreier is the president of the American Society of Pain Management Nursing. Bennett is the executive director of the Healthcare Alliance Development at Purdue Pharma and a past president of the American Society of Pain Management Nursing. (Sept. 14, 2011)
